I read and understand what you are saying in this article. I dont understand one thing about it though…

Is it better to split you’re links throughout your site in the hope that the visitor will land on those pages or have majority of links point to homepage and make sure all major terms are mentioned on the homepage?

I have always tended to get all links pointing to the homepage with good internal linking and a good amount of keyword relevant text in the body of the homepage.

Would you say this is completely wrong or just not an ideal way to build links? Im always looking at ways to improve my sites so any advice is much appreciated.

It’s good deep-linking, which although as I said is fairly basic, a lot of people don’t do it!

It”s quite different from landing pages though. Landing pages tend to be built as satellite pages around the main content aimed at conversion of visitors. When you’re building links, you want to do it to your actual site content, as this is what will attract visitor links as well as the ones you build.
